Solo Pet Friendly Country Tours
3 Days/ 2 Nights
Potjie or Braai for this evening - we choose to hang out at our accom venue as it will give all the pet owners time to arrive & relax while the dogs get to know each other better - same goes for their owners!
Enjoy breakfast at your cottage - pre-planned hampers will be available in your fridges. Be ready to head out at 8:30 for your first activity of the day.
Start the morning with a delicious informative olive tasting session while your dogs keep a close eye on your eating habits! The beautiful Tasting Centre & Test Kitchen is where they celebrate all things olive & we join in for a tutored olive tastings session while admiring the stunning views out over the surrounding valley & mountains.
We follow a route to a couple of pet friendly wine estate... admiring the beautiful views and enjoy some wines... our dogs are most welcome here...so we can enjoy relaxing tasting sessions...our path lead up a mountain from our last wine estate visit.
A delightful al fresco picnic with home-made lemonade accompanied by magnificent Tulbagh valley views and a "lesson" on the ecology, geology and history of the area, making for a rich and fascinating experience while the sun set on a perfect day. Returning to the historic farmstead - you may also get to taste wines and a port produced under the amusing label of “Serious wine by not so serious people”…
Braai or potjie is on the menu - we opt for this type of meals to include the dogs - however there are numerous pet friendly restaurants in Tulbagh that you can choose instead... (dinner included in package and will be forfeited if not used.)
*** If we are in town on a "movie night" the itinerary will be adjusted to include this event with take away picnic style dinners - and popcorn of course!***
Enjoy your pre-packed breakfast hamper again this morning before heading out on your days activities. Hiking Boots required!
